ENG 1050: Week 2

Wassup y'all,
This here second week of class was interesting, the identifying characteristics of the narrator or speaker or what-have-you in particular. For instance, I found the investigation into what an author says in the writing and how he/she does it gives a certain hint of fun. Then if you withhold information from your writing you are in fact leaving yourself out of the literature. I don't know why, but it seems fun at least for the moment. Then in our Monday class, we discussed "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and i actually enjoyed the reading, as for it was filled with humor to allow the entire story to flow with a sense of joy even though the root of the story is primarily on a rough teacher and the students struggle to succeed in the class. Then the video with David Sedaris, that was just comical genius in my opinion. My questions are over the characteristics that can be determined in writing; how can religion or one's hometown amongst other characteristics be discovered simply through analyzing whomever's writing without the explicitly saying so in said writing?
